What does it mean to be a Christian? Being a Christian means being "In Covenant" with God and each other. A covenant is a special bond--more than a simple contract. At Liberti, we shy away from calling this "membership." You can be a member of a library, a gym, or a neighborhood association: but none of these come close to reflecting the relational commitment God makes to us.
How to be In-Covenant with Liberti Fairmount:
Step 1: Join a Home Meeting
A church isn’t simply an event to attend, but a community to belong to. That's why we encourage everyone at Liberti Fairmount to be part of a Home Meeting.
Step 2: In-Covenant Brunch
This quarterly brunch after the worship service offers an opportunity to spend time getting to know others and getting to know Liberti Fairmount church. There will be time to enjoy a meal together, ask questions, learn about Christian faith and what it means to be a member of Liberti Fairmount. Watch the weekly e-newsletter for further details.
Step 3: One-on-One or small group meeting with a church leader
If you decide you would like to join Liberti Fairmount church you and your family will meet with a church leader. At this time you will be able to share your story of faith, ask further questions, and consider how to get involved in the life of the church.
Step 4: Covenant Vows
For those who would like to join themselves to Liberti Church, the final step is to make a public promise to God and his people in a worship service. If you are becoming a Christian, this will be an opportunity to celebrate the story of God's grace in your life, and be baptized.
